This company’s platform powers tens of thousands of devices across Australia, the US, and beyond, influencing over 100 million shoppers each month. With operations spanning three continents, they’re scaling fast and seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their In Store Systems Engineering Team. You’ll play a key role in building the software that powers in store audio hardware, APIs and connected systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build & manage Golang components for in-store devices and media players
  • Develop scalable APIs communicating with Python core services
  • Refactor and improve device reliability and rollout processes
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite / GitHub Actions) and AWS infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Platform and Ops teams on monitoring and deployment
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical vision setting
  • Contribute to support, incident response, and fleet management


What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of Golang (and/or Python) in a production environment
  • Deep understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, and CI/CD
  • Experience with AWS (S3, ECS, Route53, Cloudfront) & Terraform
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog or similar)
  • Ability to collaborate across time zones and work autonomously
  • Full unrestricted Australian work rights
  • Experience working with hardware, embedded systems, or IoT devices (Nice to have)
