- Permanent full-time opportunity based at our Brisbane Base Maintenance Hangar
As Project Manager, Continuous Improvement, you’ll lead Brisbane Base Maintenance’s CI portfolio, delivering key improvement programs and partnering with business leaders to drive improvement initiatives and outcomes. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts across Qantas Engineering and leverage Group CI tools and frameworks to optimise business readiness and performance.
This role is pivotal in identifying and implementing initiatives that improve safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and operational effectiveness. You’ll also lead change management strategies, stakeholder engagement, and project communications to ensure successful adoption and long-term impact.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading CI initiatives and ensuring they are resourced, cost-managed, and delivered to meet business needs
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure project success and regulatory compliance
- Deploying Group CI tools and processes to champion process excellence
- Driving change management interventions that minimise operational impact and realise program objectives
- Managing project communications and stakeholder engagement to build trust and support
- Ensuring compliance with Group Management Systems, safety protocols, and reporting requirements
- Experience in a continuous improvement or project environment delivering effective operational change.
- Strong knowledge of project and change management frameworks
- Tertiary qualifications in Business management or Project management highly regarded.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to manage competing priorities across safety, quality, IR, finance, and operations
- Experience in a regulated, complex environment such as aviation or engineering is advantageous
