SERN (https://startupregions.eu/) is looking to hire a Project and Communication Manager for its Brussels office.
Responsibilities And Foreseen Scope Of Activities
The role of the Project Manager consists of three main areas of intervention:
Managing the communication activities within the association and the European projects: working with management to create and plan public relations strategies and campaigns to enhance SERN image and visibility, by writing publicity content such as press releases, newsletters, website copy and leaflets. The person will also be responsible for developing materials that increase visibility among SERN stakeholders and its projects. The communication task also includes coordinating the organization of promotional events and conferences both for the association as well as for the EU projects.
Manage and implement European funded projects dealing with thematic such as inter-regional cooperation, entrepreneurship and climate change. Among the other tasks, it will be required to execute desk research, communication activities, organize events and trainings.
Contribute to prepare and submit proposals under specific European Programmes calls for grants or tenders (Horizon Europe, Interreg Europe, DG REGIO, Creative Europe, among others).
Requisitos da vaga
- University degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Project and Communication Manager of EU funded projects.
- Proven experience in media, corporate communications, journalism or related fields.
- Ability to use content management systems, social media platforms, web analytics tools and digital marketing methods
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in EU innovation, research, entrepreneurship, regional innovation ecosystems, climate and environment.
- Strategic thinking, ability to draft reports and prepare grant applications.
- Capability of working in multicultural environments and excellent communication skills.
- Strong self-motivation and capacity to work in a team.
- International work experience will be a plus.
- Multitask performance and capacity to work well under time constraints.
- Working hours flexibility.
- Excellent use of English and fluency in French, both written and spoken. Portuguese is an asset.
- Availability to travel abroad.
- Contract type: 1 year.
- Place of work: Brussels.
