We are looking for a Product Manager, Pulp and Paper Optimization Solutions to join our team and lead the development and lifecycle management of advanced optimization products. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing our pulp and paper optimization solutions portfolio to ensure competitiveness and secure our #1 position in the pulp and paper industry. You’ll act as the product owner, guiding R&D efforts, supporting sales and service teams, and ensuring that our solutions meet customer expectations and deliver measurable value.

We are looking for a Product Manager, Pulp and Paper Optimization Solutions to join our team and lead the development and lifecycle management of advanced optimization products. This is a strategic role at the intersection of technology, customer needs, and business performance — perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, data-driven, and technically engaged environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing our pulp and paper optimization solutions portfolio to ensure competitiveness and secure our #1 position in the pulp and paper industry. You’ll act as the product owner, guiding R&D efforts, supporting sales and service teams, and ensuring that our solutions meet customer expectations and deliver measurable value.
Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Customer Demand Fulfillment: Ensure current products meet customer needs and anticipate future demands with a 3-year outlook.
- Product Development: Define specifications for new products, monitor technology trends, and benchmark against competitors.
- Cost Efficiency: Analyze cost structures, maintain pricing data, and lead productivity initiatives.
- Product Performance: Align product functionality with company promises, define upgrade paths, and develop service offerings.
- Product Quality: Respond to quality issues, drive resolution, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
What We Expect From You
You’ll need a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset to succeed in this role. Key qualifications include:
- Master’s or higher degree in Engineering (e.g. Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Process)
- Proven experience in advanced process control and optimization for pulp and paper applications.
- Expertise in automation systems, especially Valmet DNA.
- Deep understanding of pulp and paper processes, technologies, and markets.
- Advanced Process Control and Optimization expertise: knowledge of algorithms, tools, techniques and skills required to deliver advanced applications
- Strong project management and product lifecycle management capabilities.
- Awareness of technology trends and competitor landscape.
- Team-oriented and collaborative across R&D, operations, sales, and service.
- Data-driven decision maker.
- Technically engaged and proactive problem solver.
