Improvement Projects and Roll Services delivers machine and roll enhancements globally, combining innovative technology with tailored services to ensure reliable production, improved raw material and energy efficiency, and circularity—helping our customers continuously advance their performance.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and business-minded Global Product Manager to drive our Automation Technology Improvements & Services business to a new level.

The position is preferably based in Jyväskylä, Tikkurila or Tampere Finland but other major Valmet locations can be considered.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Manage service offering for Automation Technology products (such as obsolete MCS system replacements, hydraulic valve upgrades and sheet break detection systems)
  • Develop customized solutions for our customers
  • Put together reference case stories
  • Drive new product launches together with Services marketing
  • Collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams, providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales and project implementation processes

To Succeed In This Role, You Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering-related science is required.
  • Experience in product management.
  • Strong understanding and experience of board/papermaking processes.
  • Knowledge of Board/Paper Machines technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of automation processes and solution.
  • Knowledge of the DNA system
  • Proficiency in English. Other languages are an asset.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Experience working in multicultural matrix organization, building and maintaining relationships across multiple regions and areas
  • High level of commitment and proactive approach.
  • Ability to travel.
