In this role, you will play a key part in developing and scaling software solutions for advanced hardware set-ups involved in the manufacturing, characterization, and positioning of fusion targets. What You’ll Do:
- Lead, organize, or support projects from start to finish
- Set and gather requirements for software and hardware projects
- Design software architectures and frameworks for real-time applications
- Develop robust, reliable, and maintainable software for hardware systems
- Participate in code reviews and uphold high code quality standards
- Develop scalable interfaces for users and applications
- Troubleshoot and debug software/hardware applications
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve extraordinary technical challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or similar (Master’s degree preferred)
- Job experience preferred but not required
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
- Proficient in at least one of these programming languages: C/C++ or Python
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices
- Experience with databases and Linux operating systems
- Proficient with Git for version control and team collaboration
- Preferred: Familiarity with calibration, localization, and motion planning
- Preferred: Experience with ROS/ROS2
- Preferred: Knowledge of computer vision and machine learning
- Capable of clear communication and able to work both independently and with team goals in mind
- Methodical, organized, and proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong hands-on mentality and attention to project details
- Adaptable, startup mindset, and ready to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Enjoy collaboration and working closely with colleagues
