**This project is part-time basis on a 6-month contract. Applicants must be able to work remotely and be fully onsite in Munich when required. German proficiency (speak, read & write) is a must-have.


Project Description

Our client is seeking a German-speaking Agile Coach based in Germany with operational excellence experience (OPEX) to support a critical engagement with a large Pharmaceutical company. The objective of the project is to introduce, educate, coach, and guide teams to establish long-lasting Agile ways of working, enhancing collaboration, self-organization, and overall business responsiveness.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance agile maturity by enabling full-cycle agile delivery across core teams.
  • Improve planning efficiency, prioritization, and transparency in high-stakes initiatives like Brand Planning.
  • Build sustainable internal capability through training and mentorship of Agile Team Facilitators.
  • Align agile practices with strategic business goals to improve time-to-value, market responsiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.


Scope of Work

The extended Agile Coaching Engagement will focus on the country affiliate, specifically function X and potentially expanding to other functions and teams expressing interest in agile practices Coaching will be provided at both team and facilitator levels, encompassing process design, ceremony facilitation, performance tracking, and team enablement. The engagement will be anchored in the Agile Operational Model, with iterative assessments to guide maturity growth.


Business outcomes targeted in scope include:

  • Improved Time-to-Value: Accelerated execution of strategic tactics by implementing lean planning and iterative delivery approaches.
  • Increased Testing and Experimentation Rates: Promote early feedback loops and rapid testing of tactics to enhance learning and decision-making.
  • Better Market Responsiveness: Enable quicker adjustments to market conditions or internal priorities through structured backlogs and agile rituals.
  • Improved Cross-Functional Alignment: Strengthen transparency and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders by working from a shared backlog and aligned goals.
  • Maturity Self-Assessment (Start & End): Teams will assess their current agile maturity and define improvement goals across domains of the Agile Operational Model.
  • Team Coaching: Provide hands-on coaching to core teams to embed agile principles in daily operations.



Key Requirements / Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience in Agile coaching or Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Pharma background is not essential but a benefit
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Operational excellence (OPEX) experience
  • Experience working in large multinational corporations (MNCs), preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences.
  • Available to work EU time zone hours.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on coaching capacity, with exposure to both team-level coaching and organizational-level transformation.
  • Fluent in German and English (oral and written; must be able to produce presentations and training materials in both languages)
