Junior AI Engineer (Remote - Europe)

We are seeking a motivated Junior AI Engineer eager to contribute to the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions that enhance automation, intelligence, and innovation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents into real-world systems supporting research and consulting activities across Europe. Accountabilities

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of AI and data-driven systems that translate research into real-world applications
• Build and test machine learning and NLP pipelines using Python and SQL
• Experiment with and integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) into practical workflows for automation and reasoning
• Develop and optimize AI agents to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical and functional requirements
• Contribute to API development and integration using FastAPI and Docker
• Maintain clear documentation for models, workflows, and experiments
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working on AI, machine learning, or data-driven development projects
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with an understanding of AI and ML principles
• Familiarity with LLMs, Generative AI, and AI agent frameworks
• Knowledge of Git, Docker, and API development (FastAPI experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, and a passion for innovation and learning
• Team-oriented and autonomous, able to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
• (Nice to have) Experience with LangChain, MLOps, GCP, or NoSQL technologies such as Solr
