Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare the necessary railway and related infrastructure design solutions for the implementation of the Rail Baltica project, applying recognized innovative methods and using specialized engineering software
  • Assess engineering solutions from a technical and economic perspective, and identify the optimal alternative based on technological coherence and established priorities
  • Initiate and plan design tasks, monitor and control the progress, scope, and quality of ongoing assignments
  • Coordinate and oversee internal resources and third-party suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality project implementation
  • Provide information on potential risks related to the implementation of design tasks and offer recommendations for their management
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of design activities, providing insights and proposals for optimization, review, or improvement
  • Perform the duties of a construction project and/or part manager in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Lithuania
  • Collaborate with other institutions and stakeholders involved in construction research, design, and project implementation oversight, ensuring effective communication, process control, and data reporting

What do we expect?

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering or a related technical field).
  • Knowledge of railway and related infrastructure engineering, as well as familiarity with international standards (experience with high-speed rail standards would be an advantage).
  • Long-term proven experience in transport facility design (experience in railway projects would be an advantage).
  • Understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided and parametric railway design using specialized engineering software.
  • Qualification and/or experience as a construction project manager or part-project manager (an advantage).
  • Strong technical writing and documentation preparation skills.
  • Excellent planning abilities and the capability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (at least C1 level), both written and spoken.

Monthly salary: €2 980,00 - €4 470,00 (before taxes). The specific salary offered depends on work experience and competencies.
