Inleiding

Fietslabyrint is op zoek naar een ervaren Lead Developer die niet alleen een klein team van developers kan aansturen en coachen, maar ook de technische koers bepaalt voor de volgende fase van onze groei. Jij tilt onze software-architectuur, code kwaliteit en innovatiekracht naar een hoger niveau.

Over ons

Wij zijn Fietslabyrint, internationaal bekend als Bike Labyrinth. Ons interactieve bewegingssysteem helpt mensen in zorginstellingen (en daarbuiten) om op een leuke en toegankelijke manier in beweging te blijven. Mensen die niet meer zelfstandig naar buiten kunnen, fietsen met Fietslabyrint virtueel door meer dan 800 routes over de hele wereld, van de polder tot New York City. Met een team van circa 25 mensen werken we vanuit BINK36 in Den Haag aan één missie: mensen gelukkiger en gezonder maken door beweging. We zijn marktleider binnen ons segment en groeien snel, zowel in klanten als in content. Om onze software en infrastructuur klaar te maken voor de toekomst zoeken we een Lead Developer die ons helpt die volgende stap te zetten.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Lead Developer ben jij het technische hart van het softwareteam. Samen met 2-3 developers en een teamcoördinator zorg jij dat onze software betrouwbaar, schaalbaar en toekomstbestendig is.

Je werkt hands-on aan onze producten, waaronder:

• Het Zorgproduct (React Native, TypeScript, Android)
• De Thuisapp (iOS en Android)
• Interne tools en automatisering

Maar jouw rol gaat verder dan alleen bouwen. Jij:

• Bewaakt en ontwikkelt de softwarearchitectuur, datastructuren en backend voor groei in klanten en content.
• Breidt onze unit testen uit en zorgt dat dit een standaard onderdeel van onze workflow wordt.
• Monitort en optimaliseert de performance van onze applicaties en servers.
• Informeert de teamcoördinator proactief over onderhoud, technische verbeteringen en prioriteiten.
• Onderzoekt en adviseert over hardware waarop onze software het best presteert en werkt mee aan hardwarekeuze en integratie.
• Volgt de nieuwste ontwikkelingen binnen MedTech en software-engineering, en deelt deze kennis met het team.
• Schakelt met onderzoekers rondom de CE-markering van onze software.

Kortom: jij combineert technische diepgang met leiderschap, visie en de drive om te bouwen aan software die écht impact maakt.

Wie zoeken wij?

We zoeken iemand (32–40 uur) die:

• Ruime ervaring heeft als software developer én bij voorkeur al ervaring als Lead Developer
• Sterk is in React Native en bekend is met TypeScript, Python, PHP en Kotlin
• Ervaring heeft met architectuurontwerp, code reviews en mentoring van junior developers
• Planmatig, gestructureerd en communicatief sterk is
• Kennis heeft van Git/GitHub, CI/CD, unit testing en Scrum
• Houdt van innoveren en verbeteren in een groeiende organisatie
• Enthousiast wordt van het idee dat zijn of haar werk direct impact heeft op de kwaliteit van leven van anderen

You will elevate our software architecture, code quality, and capacity for innovation to a higher level.

We are Fietslabyrint, internationally known as Bike Labyrinth.

Our interactive cycling system helps people in healthcare facilities (and beyond) stay active in a fun and accessible way. For those who can no longer go outside independently, Fietslabyrint allows them to cycle virtually through more than 800 routes around the world, from the Dutch countryside to New York City.

With a team of around 25 people, we work from BINK36 in The Hague toward one mission: to make people happier and healthier through movement.

We are the market leader in our segment and are growing rapidly, in customers as well as in content. To prepare our software and infrastructure for the future, we are looking for a Lead Developer to help us take the next step.

What will you do?

As Lead Developer, you are the technical heart of the software team. Together with 2-3 developers and a team coordinator, you ensure that our software is reliable, scalable, and future-proof.

You’ll work hands-on on our products, including:

• The Healthcare Product (React Native, TypeScript, Android)
• The Home App (iOS and Android)
• Internal tools and automation

But your role goes beyond coding. You will also:

• Safeguard and develop our software architecture, data structures, and backend for growth in both customers and content
• Expand our unit tests and make testing a standard part of our workflow
• Monitor and optimize the performance of our applications and servers
• Proactively inform the team coordinator about maintenance, technical improvements, and priorities
• Research and advise on the hardware on which our software performs best, and help select and integrate that hardware
• Keep up with the latest developments in MedTech and software engineering, sharing insights with the team
• Collaborate with researchers regarding the CE marking of our software

In short: you combine technical expertise with leadership, vision, and the drive to build software that truly makes an impact.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone (32–40 hours per week) who:

• Has extensive experience as a software developer and preferably also as a Lead Developer
• Is strong in React Native and familiar with TypeScript, Python, PHP, and Kotlin
• Has experience with architecture design, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers
• Works in a structured, organized, and communicative manner
• Has knowledge of Git/GitHub, CI/CD, unit testing, and Scrum
• Enjoys innovating and improving within a growing organization
• Gets excited about the idea that their work directly improves people’s quality of life
