We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Owners Representative for construction site projects, with an mechancial engineering background. This is for our client in Mons, that is experienced in Data Center projects.

Mission

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including the client, contractors, subcontractors, and design teams, while managing schedules, budgets, risks, and communications across the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will handle contractor negotiations, change orders, and project closeout activities.

You Will

  • Be the point of contact for /Subcontractors with for project related concerns Preconstruction
  • Create and establish the Master Project Schedule, based on the Critical Path and key milestones. (P6 cost/resource loaded schedule)
  • Create and establish the Master Project Budget, including soft costs and hard costs, bonds, insurance, contingencies, allowances, etc.
  • Support Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
  • Support Contract negotiation, typically in concert with the Client’s PM and legal counsel, including establishment of all GC “business terms” including mark-ups, fees, insurance, labor rates, escalation, etc.
  • Coordinate Design Team activities supporting Client PM
  • Manage General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
  • Schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis
  • Document control (track and coordinate addenda, bulletins, new drawing sets, clarifications, etc)
  • Ensure QA/QC is being followed and report any issues/gaps
  • Invoice / Payment Application processing, tracking and reporting
  • Tracking of all key project documents, including submittals, RFI’s, change orders, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc
  • Coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors, and consultants

Profile

You Have a

  • Master’s degree in engineering, with a background in Mechanical engineering
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction sites. Knowledge of Mechanical systems, Piping and HVAC is a must
  • You speak English. French is a plus.
  • You are flexible, homeworking is not possible for this position due to the scope of work.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications (e.g., PMP, relevant engineering degrees).
  • Experience with Data Centre, infrastructure, or any complex projects, including Primavera P6 and Google Suite.
