About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Science Manager to lead our data science team in Switzerland.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of data scientists, driving innovation, and developing data-driven strategies that support business growth. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to translate data insights into impactful decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers.
  • Define and execute the organization’s data science strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Engineering, Operations) to deliver data-driven business outcomes.
  • Ensure data science initiatives align with business objectives and measurable KPIs.
  • Promote best practices in data governance, model lifecycle management, and reproducible research.
  • Evaluate and implement new AI/ML tools, cloud platforms, and technologies.
  • Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of professional experience in data science or machine learning, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R, and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Proven experience with big data tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and AI deployment.
  • Solid project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and SQL-based data processing.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with strategic oversight.
  • Fluent in English; German or French is a strong advantage.
