Job Title: Data Engineer – Quantexa / Spark

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in Spark Framework and Quantexa to join our agile development team. You will be responsible for driving release activities, building and maintaining data-driven applications, and ensuring smooth production support at the P3 level.

This role requires strong technical skills, cross-team collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate release activities across development and production environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain Qx and data applications using the Spark Framework.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Data Science, DevOps, and Infrastructure.
• Provide P3-level production support, troubleshooting complex data and system issues.

Mandatory Requirements

• Quantexa Certification – Qx Technical Academy Certification
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in big data or distributed systems projects.

Technical Skills – Required

• Programming: Scala
• Frameworks: Apache Spark
• Big Data Ecosystem: Hadoop, Apache Hive, HDFS, Oozie, Impala, Parquet
• ETL Concepts: Data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Scripting: Unix Shell Scripting
• Databases: Basic SQL
• Build & Version Control: GIT, Gradle/Maven
• Languages: Basic knowledge of Java

Technical Skills – Recommended

• CI/CD tools: Bamboo or Jenkins
• Build tools: Gradle / Maven
• Working knowledge of Elasticsearch
