emagine is looking for 4 Java Developers for our client that is undergoing a strategic transformation in its mutual fund order execution process. As part of this initiative, the client is transitioning to a new external partner responsible for executing mutual fund orders in external funds for customers across Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
In parallel, the client is rebuilding its IT infrastructure to support this new operational model. The current solution is based on outdated technologies, including legacy Java versions, SOAP web services, and obsolete frontend frameworks.

The objective of this consultancy assignment is to support the development and implementation of a modern, scalable, and efficient IT solution for mutual fund order processing. This includes backend services, frontend applications, integration layers, and automated testing frameworks.

Scope of Work
Backend Development
- Develop microservices using Java 21 and Spring Boot
- Design and manage relational databases using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Implement messaging protocols such as Kafka, JMS, and MQ
- Develop and consume APIs using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React
- Migrate from SOAP to RESTful APIs
- Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka
- Develop automated test suites using JUnit and Cucumber
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong proficiency in Java 21+ and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake,
- Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles
