Full-timeDesign, Engineering

Join a pioneering deep-tech team as a Firmware Engineer dedicated to building the next generation of secure computing platforms. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to breakthrough semiconductor technology that protects mission-critical systems in an increasingly hostile digital world.

You collaborate closely with silicon designers, platform architects, and security specialists to develop foundational low-level software that enables advanced computing hardware to operate securely and efficiently. They will take ownership for new-chip bring-up, hardware abstraction layers, and secure system control across the full lifecycle — from prototypes through field deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain embedded firmware for high-assurance processors and security-centric compute modules
  • Implement trusted execution flows such as secure boot, cryptographic services, and anti-tamper mechanisms
  • Create device drivers and middleware interfacing directly with custom silicon, accelerators, and FPGA-based prototypes
  • Debug complex interactions using hardware instrumentation tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, trace systems)
  • Support system integration, validation, and performance tuning in safety-critical and edge environments
  • Contribute to architectural decisions ensuring both speed and resilience against evolving cyber threats
  • Produce robust documentation aligned with engineering quality and certification requirements

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and real-time firmware development
  • Demonstrated experience with microcontroller or SoC environments (ARM, RISC-V, or equivalent)
  • Strong grasp of hardware fundamentals including registers, memory maps, interrupts, and bus protocols
  • Hands-on experience with secure software design principles and cryptography-centric workflows
  • Familiarity with RTOS technologies and device bring-up on new hardware platforms
  • Exposure to hardware-rooted security (e.g., PUFs, TPM/HSM, secure enclaves)
  • Background in FPGA prototyping or semiconductor development cycles
  • Knowledge of post-quantum security concepts or secure networking protocols
  • Experience in autonomous systems, defense technology, or distributed AI environments

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the convergence of hardware innovation and security excellence — someone who wants to see their code protecting real-world systems where compromise is not an option.
