About the company
Our client is a Web3 development studio focused on decentralized trading products and tools for the DeFi community.
Already generating 7-figure ARR, the company continues to grow rapidly — expanding into new features and market opportunities.
The team works with fast iteration, hackathon-level energy, and full ownership of the products they build — a small, high-impact group where every engineer has a visible impact.
Location & work mode
Hybrid: we spend ~6–7 months per year in Dubai and the rest in Europe.
Travel and lodging during on-site periods are covered by the company.
Remote from Europe is possible for exceptional engineers able to join us in Dubai for a few months per year.
Compensation
Competitive package (crypto preferred) + stock options / equity with planned reviews.
We focus on long-term partnerships, not short-term gigs.
What you’ll do
- Build and scale decentralized trading products - from web trading interfaces to Telegram trading bots and backend systems.
- Design and implement backend services & APIs for on-chain execution, routing, pricing, and risk logic.
- Work with smart contracts (Solidity) and on-chain data (indexing, explorers, mempool/tx decoding).
- Own the entire lifecycle: specification → implementation → deployment → monitoring → iteration.
- Touch the frontend (React/Next.js) enough to ship end-to-end.
- Handle pragmatic infrastructure work: deployments, debugging, performance tuning, reliability.
- Contribute to product thinking - shaping features and prioritizing impact.
You are
- A Swiss-knife engineer - comfortable switching between backend, frontend, infra, and on-chain work.
- Deep on fundamentals: data structures, scalability, performance, reliability, security mindset.
- Autonomous and fast-moving - no need for micro-management.
- Startup-ready: prefer shipping over bureaucracy, communicate clearly, and take ownership.
Our client values exceptional ability over years of experience - they welcome both Strong-Middle and Senior engineers, as long as the technical depth is genuine.
Must-have
- Solid backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Go, or Rust.
- Strong API design, data modeling, testing, and production debugging skills.
- Experience delivering in high-load or fast-paced environments (crypto, trading, or startups).
- Confident with databases (PostgreSQL or similar) handling large, fast-growing datasets.
- Hands-on DevOps mindset - containers, CI/CD, observability, deployments.
- Fluent English; French is a major plus.
Nice to have
- DeFi/Web3 background - Solidity, Ethers.js/Web3.js, DEXs, perps, launchpads, or on-chain analytics.
- Experience in trading systems (pricing, execution, routing, risk).
- React / Next.js front-end experience.
- Knowledge of AWS (ECS/EKS, S3, IAM), Grafana / Prometheus / Datadog / Sentry.
- Work with data pipelines for large blockchain datasets.
- Security awareness - keys, permissions, anti-MEV, safe deployments.
Why this role
- Impact & ownership: small senior team, direct collaboration with CEO & CTO.
- Strong upside: competitive pay + equity.
- Innovation space: decentralized trading, multi-chain indexing, real user scale.
- Lifestyle: mix of Europe & Dubai, travel and lodging fully covered during on-site months.
Hiring process
- Pre-screen call (30 min) with recruiter - discussing your background, motivation, and technical breadth.
- Profile review by CTO.
- Intro call with CEO (5–10 min).
- Technical interview with CTO - live discussion based on your real work (no take-home tests unless you prefer one).
