Presight is looking for a qualified and proficient Data Scientist to develop and deliver AI-powered capabilities for public safety solutions and products. This role focuses on LLMs, agentic & conversational AI, and retrieval-augmented generation to extract insights, summarize information, and support decision-making in high-stakes operational environments. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation AI workflows, ensuring outputs are accurate, explainable, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate, design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents and LLM-powered solutions that enhance workflow automation, summarization, and decision-support in public safety and operational contexts.
- Develop agentic systems capable of interacting with APIs, querying internal knowledge sources, and reasoning over structured and unstructured data.
- Develop AI tools and integrate LLMs with external systems, leveraging frameworks such as MCP to streamline interactions and enable agentic workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists, MLOps engineers, and software engineers to design and implement agentic systems and automated workflows.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure model and agent performance, scalability, safety, and impact on operational workflows.
- Contribute to shared AI infrastructure, including reusable APIs, prompt libraries, model registries, and best-practice guidelines for agent development.
- Stay aligned with the latest research, open-source advancements, and emerging AI/ML technologies, acting as an evangelist to promote adoption of cutting-edge solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders and clients by presenting demos, gathering feedback, and collaborating on-site as required to ensure successful delivery.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, data science, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in AI/NLP development
- Hands-on experience in LLMs, prompt engineering, conversational and agentic AI frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in PyTorch.
- Experience with Hugging Face ecosystem, embeddings, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI frameworks such as LangFlow, LangGraph, and DIFY.
- Experience building and integrating knowledge graphs for entity linking, relationship modelling, and structured reasoning.
- Familiarity with recommender systems and traditional ML algorithms for decision-support applications.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, API development, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GPU clusters, and high-performance computing environments.
- Proficient with Git/version control, and reproducible development practices.
- Proven track record of deploying AI/LLM solutions for real-world applications.
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with experience in model metrics, error analysis, and bias detection.
- Experience designing and deploying autonomous or agentic AI systems in operational workflows in production environments.
- Practical experience with graph databases (Neo4j, AWS Neptune, etc.) and graph-based reasoning approaches.
- Exposure to ethical AI frameworks, compliance, and explainable AI techniques.
