We’re looking for a Lead Node.js Developer to design, build, and operate backend services on AWS. You’ll architect secure, scalable APIs and event-driven workloads, set engineering standards, and guide a team of developers to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and Lambda functions on AWS.
- Ensure performance, security, and observability across systems (logs/metrics/traces).
- Conduct design and code reviews; mentor and guide the engineering team.
- Collaborate with BAs and stakeholders to deliver production-ready features.
- Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy resilient fixes.
- Contribute to CI/CD, feature flags, and safe release practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years in backend development (4+ years backend, 2+ years Node.js/AWS Lambda).
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch).
- Experience with event-driven architecture (SQS, SNS, EventBridge).
- Hands-on with TypeScript, Redis caching, OAuth/OIDC, and security best practices.
- Familiar with testing frameworks (Jest/Mocha), Git workflows, and Agile delivery.
- Excellent communication and system design skills.
