We’re looking for a Network Administrator to join our growing IT team. This role is an essential part of the department, supporting key initiatives and projects to continually advance both The Picas Group (TPG) and our customers’ IT environments. The Network Administrator will ensure the TPG network is efficient, secure, properly backed up, and accessible to onsite and remote staff. This role requires the ability to work independently on projects, as well as handle routine daily tasks.
What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless, VPNs) onsite, at customer locations, and in the cloud
- Configure and manage network security protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, ACLs, and Duo ZTNA
- Administer core network services: DNS, DHCP, IP management, VLANs, and redundancy/failover solutions
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and audit TPG and customer IT infrastructure for connectivity, performance, and compliance issues
- Deploy Picas software updates, perform database administration tasks, and manage system backups
- Provide billable IT support to customers including server maintenance, third-party integrations, and technical troubleshooting
- Create and maintain technical documentation including network diagrams, topology maps, and customer-facing materials
- Research and recommend IT solutions to address gaps, inefficiencies, and emerging needs
- Communicate effectively with customer IT departments, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, support, and participate in after-hours emergency rotations
What We're Looking For:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field with 3–5 years hands-on experience
- Strong expertise in network architecture, enterprise networking equipment, and infrastructure management
- Proficiency with firewall configuration, VPN setup, network security best practices, and wireless controller management
- Experience with network monitoring/diagnostic tools (Wireshark, ping, traceroute) and core protocols (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, VLANs)
- Working knowledge of both Windows Server and Linux networking environments
- Ability to read and create technical documentation including network diagrams and rack elevations
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail and quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated learner committed to pursuing certifications and staying current with emerging technologies
- Valid driver's license, ability to travel, lift IT equipment, and work in varied physical environments
