The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events, and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th, 2026 - July 31st, 2026).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture, including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation, and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success, and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on data based on business requests
  • Participate in activities to elicit and document stakeholder requirements to drive key business decisions
  • Conduct data profiling, data quality assessment, and data mapping in support of department and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and execute standard or custom queries to retrieve data as required
  • Execute, promote, and adhere to data management and data governance strategies and standards
  • Perform and document source to target mappings as needed
  • Test / validate data according to data specifications
  • Learn about key business applications and data to respond to ad-hoc questions and requests for information

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in one of the following: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business, or a related field
  • Must have completed at least one semester of coursework
  • Knowledge of data analysis, including tools and software used for querying and analyzing data
  • Strong learning orientation and curiosity
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of SQL and DBMS such as SQL Server
  • Working knowledge in Excel; VBA knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Office 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Power Automate, and Microsoft Power Apps is a plus
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate within data teams across the enterprise
  • Ability to effectively engage with business partners and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
