Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management and Governance Expert (Arabic Speaker) to lead and implement enterprise-level data governance and management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in developing and operating data governance frameworks aligned with national standards, particularly within the government sector or environmental management domains. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of local data regulations, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional and government entities to ensure data integrity, compliance, and value realization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the organization’s Data Management and Governance Platform in alignment with national frameworks.
• Establish data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with Qatar’s National Data Program and the National Planning Council’s Data Governance Standard.
• Drive implementation of the DAMA framework for enterprise data governance.
• Lead data quality, metadata, and master data management initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and government entities to ensure effective data sharing, stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee data audits and ensure consistent monitoring of data accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
• Provide expertise in data classification, lifecycle management, and information security alignment.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy and governance awareness across the organization.
• Act as a key liaison between business units, IT teams, and regulatory authorities for data-related matters.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data management, data governance, or related roles — preferably within government or environmental management sectors.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing data governance platforms and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar’s National Data Program regulations and compliance requirements.
• In-depth understanding of the National Planning Council’s Data Governance Standard and the DAMA framework.
• Certifications required:
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Certified Data Governance Professional (DAMA_CDGP)
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and proficiency in English (preferred).
