About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated .NET Mobile App Developer with strong Microsoft MAUI expertise to join a high-performing Mobile Applications team within a large, government-focused digital environment. This role will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of an interactive education-focused mobile application. You’ll be responsible for integrating new animated content, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining app stability and accessibility standards across iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and extend the existing .NET MAUI mobile application by integrating new animated episode content.
• Collaborate with internal business and technical teams, as well as external creative partners, to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Review and analyse supplied content packages to confirm compatibility with the existing .NET MAUI framework.
• Implement content migration processes and manage assets from tools such as Adobe Animate or similar platforms.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation to maintain app stability, performance, and accessibility compliance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, version control records, and deployment notes.
• Support release activities and provide post-integration technical assistance as required.

Skills and experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Microsoft .NET software development (SFIA Level 5 – PROG).
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, JQuery, .NET 8.x, and .NET Core.
• Strong experience developing mobile applications with Microsoft .NET MAUI across iOS and Android.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and mobile UI/UX optimisation.
• Proficient with Visual Studio 2022 and related development tools.

Desirable

• Experience with Apple and Google ecosystems, device setup, and app store management (App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
• Knowledge of Adobe Animate and multimedia content integration.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams in large, dynamic ICT environments.
