Our client's organisation is known for its supportive culture and meaningful work across community focused services. Following a recent retirement, they're seeking a HR Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role in the new year.
Job Description
This is a hands on HR coordinator role focused on end to end recruitment and WHS inbox management. You'll be responsible for drafting and posting ads, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding. The role also includes general HR administration, managing shared inboxes, responding to enquiries, and escalating where needed. You'll work closely with a small, collaborative HR team and contribute to broader operational support.
- Coordinate and manage HR-related administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and documentation.
- Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Support on boarding and off boarding processes to ensure a smooth experience for employees.
- Provide assistance with payroll preparation and data entry as required.
- Respond to employee enquiries and provide accurate information on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in organising training sessions and maintaining training records.
- Update and maintain HR systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Support the HR team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
You'll bring a solid HR foundation and be confident managing recruitment processes independently. Experience with awards and basic safety practices is ideal. The team values someone calm, kind, and self sufficient, someone who can work autonomously but also enjoys being part of a close knit team. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are key.
- Previous experience in an HR support role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An understanding of HR policies and employment legislation in Australia.
- A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
- Temp rate between $40-$50p.h
- Immediate start
- 3 month contract with likely opportunity to go perm in the new year
- Brisbane CBD
- Collaborative warm welcoming team
- 1 day work from home
- Option to do 4 day working week if preferred ( full time also suitable)
- 8-4pm or 8-5pm depending on preference
