Job description
Our major client is looking for a Commercial / Contract Director with legal & contractual background to join their Legal Dept. in Saudi Arabia office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of contractual and commercial related issues for construction projects.
- Carry out cost studies, cost planning and control, cost analysis and cash flow monitoring on projects.
- Drafting of contractual correspondence / agreement.
- Monitor the tendering of construction works contracts; vetting of tender documents and tender reports.
- Collate information for Risk Management monitoring.
- Cooperate with project team for variation works, progress cost claims, EOT claims and cost control.
- Proven practice experience in FIDIC would be advantage.
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Quantity Surveying, Law or equivalent with at least 13 years of solid contract and cost management experience.
- Holder of MHKIS, MRICS, PRS, MCIArb or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Experience in contract administration, preparation of time and cost claims, with commercial and legal/ arbitration knowledge would be advantage.
- Able to work independently.
- BIM qualification would be advantage.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate Director.
