The QA Automation Engineer designs testing strategies to ensure correct coverage of requirements, determining what should be automated. This role implements automated testing solutions, develops related test plans, writes and executes test cases, reports bugs, and follows up on issues. The engineer works closely with development teams and clients to ensure high product quality, acting as a champion for Quality Control and process improvement. Both automated and manual testing are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases using Playwright and .NET 8.0
  • Manage and optimize end-to-end (E2E) test pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Monitor and report the status of automated tests, identifying failures and trends
  • Create and maintain test plans within Azure DevOps
  • Author and manage User Stories and Tasks in Azure DevOps to support QA activities
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps engineers to ensure seamless CI/CD integration and test coverage
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align QA efforts with development goals
  • Plans, designs, implements, executes, and reports end-to-end testing for any given requirement independently
  • Works closely with technical and product teams to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Contributes to optimization of best test standards and technology by researching new tools, techniques, and design patterns to improve product quality
  • Isolates, replicates, reports defects, verifies defect fixes, and strives to reduce technical debt
  • Executes regressions periodically
  • As part of Agile scrum team, reads and interprets technical documents and requirements, and constantly identifies potential candidates for automation that fit overall test strategy
  • Builds and designs automated solutions for testing

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation
  • Experience in .NET 8.0 and C#
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, boards, test plans)
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • 5+ years of experience in Automated Testing
  • 5+ years of experience in Manual testing
  • Experience using Jira, TFS or similar
  • Experience in Mobile testing (iOS and Android) is a plus
  • Knowledge of writing technical documentation, defects, issues, and reports
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end quality
  • Knowledge of SQL

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Engineering, or similar is preferred
