We’re hiring a Game Engineer at VOYA Games in Berlin or Hamburg. You’ll own and build systems that power Craft World - a resource management mobile game live on App Store, Play Store, and Web. Since its July 2025 launch, over 500,000 players have joined through organic growth. Your work will shape and scale our platform as we grow toward millions of players and creators worldwide.

Our team is made up of experienced entrepreneurs from the free-to-play gaming sector, avid gamers, and specialists in Blockchain technology. Our CEO, Olver Löffler, has an impressive history in the gaming world, having co-founded Kolibri Games, a successful gaming company that was later acquired by Ubisoft.

🧑‍💻 Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core gameplay systems, tools, and services in Unity (C#).
• Build robust, scalable game logic that connects seamlessly to backend systems.
• Profile, optimize, and debug across platforms to achieve high frame rates and low latency.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver engaging player experiences.
• Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with industry best practices.
• Integrate client features with backend APIs and real-time services.
• Contribute to tools and pipelines that improve build reliability and deployment speed.
• Work with telemetry, analytics, and live-ops systems to improve player retention and performance.
• Ensure stability, security, and scalability across the full game stack.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to team code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Push for technical excellence, strong engineering standards, and measurable quality improvements.
• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development efficiency.
• Own major gameplay or systems features end-to-end—from design to live operation.

✅ Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in game development, including at least one shipped Unity title.
• Expert in C# and Unity engine.
• Strong software engineering foundation: architecture, design patterns, performance optimization.
• Experience integrating with backend systems or APIs; understanding of client-server interaction.
• Familiarity with multiplayer, networking, or real-time systems.
• Pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

🎁 Bonus Qualifications

• Experience building or scaling live multiplayer or UGC games.
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with TypeScript, Go, or Rust for backend or tooling.
• Understanding of blockchain integration or ownership systems (wallets, NFTs, tokens).
• Contributions to open-source or internal Unity tooling.
