Your role
Do you have experience in providing compliance or risk advisory services for Human Resources? Can you ‘think on your feet’, balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory and ethical considerations? Are you skilled at reviewing processes and suggesting improvements?
We’re looking for an HR Controller to:
You’ll be working in the Group Functions Operational Risk Control team in Krakow with colleagues across UBS locations globally. We support multiple Group Functions by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge.
Our duties include implementing the Operational Risk Framework and to ensure regulatory and operational risks are identified, properly assessed and recorded. As a risk control specialist, you’ll lead second line of defense activities and partner with the business to manage regulatory and associated risks, playing a vital role in seeing that the necessary risk frameworks are appropriately embedded across our firm.

We’re looking for an HR Controller to:
- act as a compliance and operational risk control (C&ORC) subject-matter expert for Human Resources (HR), supporting them in managing risk
- build relationships with HR and other functional stakeholders to proactively identify and remediate issues
- conduct thematic reviews and risk assessments to facilitate decision making
- deliver independent risk assessment and provide effective challenge to the 1st line of defense in relation to consequential risks and the risk frameworks
- ensure risk metrics, assessments and reporting are built on correct data and in line with relevant taxonomies and the expectation of UBS Group
- provide business management with controls, tools, training, frameworks, information and insights required to manage risk

Your expertise
- ideally 3-5 years experience of risk management and control frameworks; relevant hands-on experience or previous experience in HR would be advantageous
- analytic, result-oriented and resilient (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
- skilled communicator who listens, adapts style to audience and conveys clear, accurate and concise information and expectations. Proficient in communicating complex issues
- a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or a related field is preferable
- fluent in English
