We are looking for a Data Scientist to oversee the technical development and implementation of DataSphere and related projects. This person will contribute to increase access to expertise regarding the Data Model, controls, and reporting.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Data Engineering & Integration

Collaborate with the IT team and business to integrate data models into Azure Data Factory workflows and Delta Lake environments.

Ensure data quality and consistency through robust validation and control mechanisms

• DataSphere Enablement

Contribute to the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for structured and unstructured data ingestion and transformation.

Support the creation of curated datasets for reporting, actuarial analysis, and reinsurance program performance monitoring.

• Innovation & Research

Explore advanced techniques in NLP, text mining, and sentiment analysis.

Drive continuous improvement of analytical capabilities within the DataSphere platform.

Your Skills & Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Proven experience ( min. 10 years) in machine learning model development, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric).
• Familiarity with metadata-driven architectures and data governance principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment
• Willingness to relocate and work in Luxembourg

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance data models and financial calculations.
• Experience with IFRS 17 reporting and actuarial data processing.
• Experience in AI
