Cloud Engineer

About the role
As a Cloud Engineer you'll focus on optimizing and modernizing Azure and Google Cloud environments. You play a key role in the transition toward Infrastructure as Code, combining hands-on engineering with coaching and team enablement.
Your time will be roughly 20% hands-on with technical implementations and 80% focused on coaching, training, and guiding colleagues in adopting modern cloud and DevOps practices.
What you'll do
- Coach and mentor engineers in cloud, infrastructure, and DevOps best practices.
- Drive the transition from traditional infrastructure to modern, automated environments.
- Provide hands-on support for Azure and Google Cloud implementations.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across teams.
- Advise on tooling, automation, and process improvements (Terraform, Ansible, Jira, GitHub, CI/CD).
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in IT or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in IT, with strong expertise in DevOps and cloud transformation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to translate complex tech into clear insights.
- Proven experience coaching, training, and supporting technical teams.
- Solid knowledge of Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, and GitHub.
- Experience with change management or DevOps adoption in large organizations.
- Independent, proactive, and comfortable working in an international environment.
Preferred experience
- Leading teams through cloud transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on DevOps or cloud engineering background.
- Supporting migrations from on-premise to cloud.
- Delivering technical training or knowledge sessions.
