About The Role
As a Technical Lead at MistyWest, you'll drive the technical vision and system design to solve client challenges. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborate closely with clients and project managers, and stay hands-on with key technologies like sensors, optics, and motion control to deliver innovative products across industries.
Accountabilities
- Understand client goals and define technical solutions that align with their vision
- Translate product requirements into clear technical tasks and project plans
- Guide the team through implementation, problem-solving, and delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients, managing expectations and weekly check-ins
- Own the product roadmap and ensure alignment across stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality, technically sound deliverables
- Lead complex, multi-party projects and collaborate with external partners
- Identify opportunities for IP reuse and process improvements
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal technical leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years leading complex electro mechanical or embedded product development, including hardware firmware integration
- Strong hands on background in embedded systems design including MCU selection, schematics, PCB review, sensor integration, power management, and firmware development (C/C++)
- Experience with hardware in the loop testing, system bring up, debugging with lab instruments, and reliability validation
- Proven ability to plan and deliver projects using standard project management tools and practices
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across electrical, firmware, mechanical, software, and manufacturing and working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving skills, high curiosity, and a learning oriented mindset
- Asset. Experience with motion control, optics, or high precision sensing systems
