Role: Android Developer

Location: Toronto

Duration: Long term

Role Descriptions:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define| design| and ship new features.
• Work with external data sources and APIs.
• Perform unit testing for robustness| including edge cases| usability| and general reliability.
• Fix bugs and improve application performance.
• Continuously discover and evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Essential Skills:

• Proven software development experience and Android skills development.
• Published at least one original Android app.
• Experience with Android SDK.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape| architectures| trends| and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Desirable Skills: Create and test Front End Components and packages that can be embedded into different applications. Build new features and improvements for our Mobile Apps. Pair program with other software engineers to learn coach and mentor. Excellent work ethic and strong sense of ownership and pride in the work they do. Willingness to learn new skills.
