This role involves developing two interconnected mobile applications: an interactive educational game for children and teens, and a professional networking platform. The educational game will feature timed questions, scoring, rewards, and real-time multiplayer or challenge modes, all within a clean, modern UI/UX tailored for younger users. The networking app will offer user profiles, connections, referrals, memberships, and in-app purchases, with a sleek, professional interface. Both apps require secure API integration, payment gateway setup, in-app shop functionality, cloud data synchronization, offline caching, and an admin dashboard or CMS for content management and leaderboards. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with data privacy standards such as COPPA, GDPR, and Australian regulations, and deliver smooth animations and engaging user experiences. Remote work is preferred, and the project is supported by a finance and marketing company based in Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities

Design and develop two mobile applications: an educational game and a networking platform
Implement gamification features, real-time multiplayer, and challenge modes for the educational app
Create clean, modern, and engaging UI/UX for both apps, suitable for children, teens, and professionals
Integrate secure APIs, payment gateways, and in-app shop functionality
Set up cloud data synchronization, offline caching, and analytics using Firebase or similar solutions
Develop an admin dashboard or CMS for content management and leaderboards
Ensure compliance with COPPA, GDPR, and Australian data privacy standards
Optimize app performance for smooth animations and fast interactions
Align educational content with NAPLAN/ACARA curriculum where applicable
Collaborate remotely with stakeholders and deliver project milestones on schedule

Skills And Requirements

Proven experience in mobile app development for iOS and Android platforms
Strong proficiency with Firebase or similar backend solutions
Expertise in secure API integration, payment gateway setup, and cloud data management
Demonstrated ability to design engaging, modern UI/UX for diverse user groups
Experience with gamification, real-time multiplayer, and in-app purchase systems
Knowledge of data privacy compliance (COPPA, GDPR, Australian standards)
Familiarity with educational frameworks such as NAPLAN/ACARA is a plus
Ability to deliver smooth animations and responsive interfaces
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
