Responsibilities
This job function reports to the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise networks, servers and end user IT infrastructure of our customers. The job requires significant interaction with customers on site. The job scope is as follows:
This job function reports to the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise networks, servers and end user IT infrastructure of our customers. The job requires significant interaction with customers on site. The job scope is as follows:
- Design and implement both the hardware and software technologies needed for a LAN and to manage an enterprise network. The candidate must be able to handle the customisation of networks according to the customer's needs. This includes the addition, removal and re-configuration of network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
- Design and implement network performance monitoring , troubleshooting , logging errors, backing up and restoring data, assigning permissions to users, and helping users with LAN issues.
- Design and implement BGP routing which is a TCP-based communications method to help Asiatel's autonomous system (AS) exchange routing information with other autonomous systems over the internet. Hands on working experience in BGP routing is important requirement.
- Implement enterprise network systems such as network routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points at customers' premises.
- Implement networking for internet telephony gateway equipment , session border controllers and IP PABX's at customers' premises and in data centres.
- Perform network monitoring and system management using the network monitoring tools available. Hands on working experience with network monitoring systems such as the Paessler PRTG is required.
