General Description of Duties
The Intermediate .NET Developer I is in charge of programming VB .NET to create custom screens and reports independently. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Create new screens that have complexity, update screens to requested standards and modify screens to match current business rules written with VB .NET technology from Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Create new reports that are complex, update and modify reports to match current business rules written with SAP Crystal Reports.
- Update SQL Server Databases with new tables, columns and indexes independently.
- Utilize 3rd party tools, and controls, such as Infragistics and iTextSharp (and others), to develop the custom screens and reports.
- Remotely connect to users' computers to troubleshoot and support our user community.
- Attend meetings with Department Personnel to determine the needs of that Department.
- Apply understanding when to create indexes when needed for efficient data flow and speed.
- Apply understanding of what segments on indexes are needed.
- Other duties may arise which will be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to type proficiently.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in .NET Programming and Techniques.
- Bachelor of Science (Computer Science Preferred).
- Must be able to occasionally work overtime.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing, results-oriented environment.
- Must report to any company facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
