General Description of Duties

The Intermediate .NET Developer I is in charge of programming VB .NET to create custom screens and reports independently. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company.

Essential Job Functions

• Create new screens that have complexity, update screens to requested standards and modify screens to match current business rules written with VB .NET technology from Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Create new reports that are complex, update and modify reports to match current business rules written with SAP Crystal Reports.
• Update SQL Server Databases with new tables, columns and indexes independently.
• Utilize 3rd party tools, and controls, such as Infragistics and iTextSharp (and others), to develop the custom screens and reports.
• Remotely connect to users' computers to troubleshoot and support our user community.
• Attend meetings with Department Personnel to determine the needs of that Department.
• Apply understanding when to create indexes when needed for efficient data flow and speed.
• Apply understanding of what segments on indexes are needed.
• Other duties may arise which will be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to type proficiently.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in .NET Programming and Techniques.
• Bachelor of Science (Computer Science Preferred).
• Must be able to occasionally work overtime.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing, results-oriented environment.
• Must report to any company facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
