Business Analyst

About the role

Seqwater’s ICT PMO is delivering a major Information and Data Analytics Project, building a secure, cloud-based data platform to enhance data lifecycle management, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to partner with stakeholders across data, analytics, and cloud transformation initiatives capturing requirements, analysing data, and supporting the design of scalable, insight-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
• Develop As-Is / To-Be process models (BPMN), use cases, and wireframes.
• Collaborate with project teams to support cloud data and ETL delivery.
• Conduct data and statistical analysis to identify trends and business opportunities.
• Build and present data visualisations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Contribute to business cases, feasibility studies, and agile delivery of MVPs.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and experience

• 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in ICT, Data, or Cloud projects.
• Proven experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiar with SQL and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Strong background in Data and Analytics project delivery.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT or Business Analysis (highly regarded).
• Current driver’s license (some regional travel required).
