About the Role & Company
This is an opportunity to join a global consulting and technology delivery firm with deep expertise in AI, engineering, and platform innovation. Working across multiple sectors, the company helps organisations build scalable, intelligent systems that unlock real-world impact from data. With a strong focus on ethical and explainable AI, the data science team here delivers robust, production-grade models that drive smarter decision-making across product, strategy, and operations.
This position offers the chance to lead on high-impact modelling initiatives while contributing to platform tooling, governance, and architecture alongside engineers and product teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement predictive and analytical models using a mix of classical ML and modern deep learning techniques
- Apply time-series forecasting, NLP, clustering, and computer vision techniques to real-world business problems
- Build robust training pipelines and integrate them into cloud-native environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) using MLOps best practices
- Track experiments, automate model retraining, and monitor performance using tools like MLflow or Weights & Biases
- Work with stakeholders to define business objectives and translate outputs into actionable recommendations
- Contribute to responsible AI development through model interpretability, regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR), and fairness audits
- Coach and support junior team members while helping scale internal capabilities
What They’re Looking For
- Strong programming ability in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL; R also welcome
- Hands-on experience with modern ML and deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers)
- Experience deploying models in cloud environments (Databricks, Azure ML, SageMaker, or GCP Vertex AI)
- Familiarity with end-to-end ML lifecycle, including CI/CD, observability, and retraining strategies
- Understanding of data architecture and how to align ML solutions within broader platform ecosystems
- Ability to distill complex modelling outcomes into clear, non-technical insights for decision-makers
- Passion for innovation, ethical AI, and continuous learning
Bonus Points For
- Experience working with large-scale data in production
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments or hybrid deployments
- Prior involvement in technical mentoring or thought leadership initiatives
