Cyber Security Analyst – IT Solutions / Managed Service Provider (MSP)
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and integrity of client systems, networks, and data. This role demands a proactive professional with a strong background in cyber security and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will play a critical role in identifying and responding to security threats, working within a fast-paced and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, performing in-depth analysis and initiating incident responses.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks.
- Manage and configure security tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection systems.
- Investigate and document security breaches, coordinating with teams to implement solutions and prevent recurrence.
- Provide expert advice on cybersecurity best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Deliver regular security awareness training to internal teams and clients.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends, implementing proactive measures to safeguard systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in cyber security, ideally within an MSP or IT solutions environment.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Demonstrable experience with incident response and vulnerability management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are highly desirable.
