Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Description

We expect:

At least 3 years of experience building web applications with the Ruby on Rails framework.
In-depth and practical knowledge of "full-stack" development - writing high-quality and fast "backend" (Ruby, DB, MVC) and "frontend" (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) code.
Professional skills in working with relational database systems, creating data structures and queries, as well as their optimization.
Ability to work independently with technical documentation, change management, development and bug reports.
Ability to work in a team, set and implement goals, be approachable and treat work carefully.
Good knowledge of English and Latvian (oral and written).

We Would Like You To Have

Experience in configuring Linux (Fedora/Debian) servers, preparing containers (Docker, Compose), automating deliveries (Capistrano), creating unit tests and integration tests (RSpec, Capybara) and debugging problems at any level of system operation.
Knowledge of web application development standards, technological current affairs and security guidelines.
Experience in planning the technical architecture of a full-scale system, including integration (API) with third-party systems.
Knowledge of mobile development principles and practical experience.
Skills in work and communication with customers/customers.
Mentoring skills of junior colleagues.
