Own high-impact Magento 2 services and storefronts while helping us push an AI-assisted development culture. You’ll spend most of your time in PHP/Magento, but should be comfortable reviewing or shipping changes across React front-ends and Python/Go backend services when needed. We actively use Claude Sonnet 4.5, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor to accelerate delivery — without compromising code quality or security.

• Design, build, and maintain Magento 2 modules, themes, and integrations (payments, tax, ERP, PIM, shipping).
• Lead performance, caching, and indexing work (FPC/Varnish, Redis, async queues).
• Ship features end-to-end: PHP APIs → React/Next.js UIs → infra (Docker/K8s, CI).
• Review AI-generated diffs with a security/performance lens; enforce coding standards (PSR-12), tests, and design patterns.
• Translate product requirements into clear prompts and workflows for AI tools; capture reusable prompt “recipes.”
• Pair with engineers to improve developer experience (tooling, CI, prompt libraries, secure context windows).
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.

• 5 + years professional PHP; 3 + years Magento 2 (plugins, observers, service contracts, DI, EAV, MSI, GraphQL/REST).
• Strong SQL/MySQL performance skills; hands-on with Redis and queues.
• Production experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Sonnet 4.5, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to generate, refactor, and test code — including the ability to critique and harden AI output (security, privacy, performance).
• Solid testing habits (PHPUnit, integration/functional tests) and CI discipline.
• Comfortable collaborating across React (TypeScript) and one of Python or Go.

• Magento Commerce / Adobe Commerce experience.
• Elasticsearch / OpenSearch tuning; async architectures; event sourcing.
• API design (OpenAPI), auth (OAuth2/JWT), payments (PCI awareness).
• Observability (Grafana/Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), SRE basics.
• Experience with AI-first editors (Cursor, Windsurf) and IDE integrations (PhpStorm / VS Code).

Tooling: Claude Code for complex refactors and agents; Copilot for inline completions; Cursor for repo-aware edits.

Workflow: write crisp specs → prompt → generate → test → refine → manual hardening.

Quality gates: no AI-generated secrets; deterministic migrations; idempotent scripts; diff-time security checks; perf budgets.

Documentation: PRs include brief AI notes (what was generated vs. hand-rolled, known caveats).
