Your job

As Research Assistant you will contribute to ongoing research on micropollutant degradation via oxidative processes and related transformation product formation.

Within the micropollutant Group at the Environmental Technology department you will be responsible for experimental design, setup and execution in collaboration with our analytical team and team members working on transformation products.

Your Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • experimental design to identify transformation product of concern in oxidative processes;
  • execute experiments for the formation of micropollutant transformation products;
  • analysis and data interpretation on transportation products of concern.

Your team

You will work with Gabriel Sigmund and Alessia Ore on the identification of transformation products of concern.

Your qualities

You Are Experienced In

  • laboratory work on wastewater effluents;
  • micropollutants analysis on HPLC-MS/MS;
  • the interpretation of LC-MS data.

and willing to learn to work on non-target screening and suspect -screening approaches using high resolution mass spectrometry.

In our international working environment there is an increasing amount of communication in English. For this position it is about language level C1.

Additionally, a contract for 0.84 FTE can be discussed As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended, if possible within (company) organizational circumstances, on good performance.
