The team is developing a new system for planning and settling working time, replacing a legacy solution that can no longer handle the client’s dynamic business needs.
The system integrates with corporate applications and centralizes employee data, automating time-tracking and billing processes. It’s fully built in the AWS cloud using modern, serverless technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and database layers using TypeScript and Playwright
- Analyze and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, identifying and fixing flaky tests and integration issues
- Support developers in writing and improving automated tests as part of the delivery pipeline
- Collaborate closely with manual testers to extend test coverage and improve test effectiveness
- Participate in sprint activities (planning, refinement, retrospectives) to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process
- Review and optimize test suites for scalability, speed, and reliability
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, practices, and tooling across the project
- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation
- Hands-on experience in writing automated tests using Playwright (UI, API, and DB layers)
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Practical experience testing web applications (React/TypeScript frontend and Java backend preferred)
- Experience with GitLab pipelines or similar CI/CD tools
- Good understanding of AWS cloud environments
- Experience in database testing (SQL-based validation and data verification)
- Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of failures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially within Agile teams
