Responsibilities
- Design and implement network configurations to meet organizational needs efficiently.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Install and configure hardware components like routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Maintain and manage the integrity of network components to prevent failure risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to establish a secure and efficient network environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues swiftly and effectively.
- Conduct network performance analysis and regular capacity planning exercises.
- Develop and document network standards and procedures for the team’s reference.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry best practices.
- Ensure that security measures are in place to protect critical network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and staff.
- Participate in network design and architecture review sessions regularly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a network engineer or relevant networking position.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools and software.
- Hands-on experience with network technologies, such as WAN, MAN, and WLAN.
- Excellent understanding of network security principles and tools deployment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
