Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master with hands-on experience driving Agile delivery within the insurance domain. This role will support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery excellence, alignment on goals, and effective sprint execution across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead core Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage sprint activities including backlog refinement, release planning, and dependency resolution.
- Track and report Agile performance metrics (velocity, burndown, risks, impediments) to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, developers, and QA to deliver sprint commitments.
- Drive Agile maturity and best practices within insurance operations (underwriting, claims, policy servicing).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements in insurance product development.
- Promote continuous improvement and coach teams in Agile culture and efficiency enhancements.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile frameworks.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery for insurance applications:
- Policy administration systems
- Claims platforms
- Customer portals or digital servicing systems
- Proficiency with Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and risk mitigation plans.
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics/reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD integration processes.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, SAFe) or other Agile certification.
- Experience with enterprise cloud/digital transformation in Life, Health, or P&C Insurance.
- Background in software development or QA within Agile environments.
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance in regulated industries.
- High collaboration with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Focus on digital innovation and operational efficiency within insurance.
