Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master with hands-on experience driving Agile delivery within the insurance domain. This role will support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery excellence, alignment on goals, and effective sprint execution across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead core Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage sprint activities including backlog refinement, release planning, and dependency resolution.
  • Track and report Agile performance metrics (velocity, burndown, risks, impediments) to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, developers, and QA to deliver sprint commitments.
  • Drive Agile maturity and best practices within insurance operations (underwriting, claims, policy servicing).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements in insurance product development.
  • Promote continuous improvement and coach teams in Agile culture and efficiency enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery for insurance applications:
    • Policy administration systems
    • Claims platforms
    • Customer portals or digital servicing systems
  • Proficiency with Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and risk mitigation plans.
  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics/reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD integration processes.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, SAFe) or other Agile certification.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud/digital transformation in Life, Health, or P&C Insurance.
  • Background in software development or QA within Agile environments.
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance in regulated industries.
