📍 Location: London (3 days a week onsite) | 💰 Up to £80,000 per annum
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a high-impact product team shaping the future of travel loyalty experiences. You’ll help design and build scalable backend systems that power a seamless journey for millions of travellers around the world.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement APIs and core backend services.
- Develop business logic and data models that directly influence user experience.
- Build and enhance new product features used by thousands of travellers daily.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Deliver production-quality code with strong testing, documentation, and monitoring.
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Advocate for new tools, technologies, and frameworks to drive innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with strong CS fundamentals.
- Proven experience designing and developing APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong sense of ownership with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
- Proficiency in Java, with exposure to AWS, Spring Framework, and Hibernate (or similar ORM tools) highly desirable.
