Reporting and Performance Analyst

Pinpoint Talent’s Queensland State Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Performance and Reporting Analyst to deliver high-level statistical and analytical support within a key justice and governance environment. The role focuses on developing and implementing data methodologies that inform operational performance, strategic planning, and evidence-based decision-making.

Brisbane | Contract | Hybrid WFH

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining performance reporting frameworks, including business intelligence dashboards and analytical reports, that highlight key trends and support continuous improvement. The position requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for senior executives and decision-makers.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement are central to this role, with a focus on using data more effectively to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability across organisational operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice and analytical insights to inform executive-level decision-making

Design and implement performance reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI

Develop and apply methodologies to measure and evaluate policy and program effectiveness

Interpret data and trends to inform operational planning and reporting

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate diverse data sources and enhance reporting accuracy

Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with public sector standards

Skills and Experience:

Demonstrated experience in reporting and performance data analysis, within a government or regulatory environment

Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management or enterprise data systems

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights

Experience designing performance measurement frameworks and evaluation tools

Proven accountability, adaptability, and ethical decision-making aligned with public sector governance requirements
