  • Coordinate vendor interactions (e.g., opening/following up on cases, facilitating engineering‑to‑engineering exchanges) to resolve platform or connector issues and drive outcomes.
  • Instrument SNMP/connectivity and discovery pre‑requisites so devices are monitored and evaluated reliably; partner with firewall/server teams to remove blockers.
  • Use agile delivery tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps) to create and manage Features/Stories with acceptance criteria and traceability for deployment tasks and safeguards.
  • Publish high‑quality documentation (configuration standards, runbooks, troubleshooting guides) and deliver concise status updates in stand‑ups and stakeholder reviews.
  • Track and improve compliance posture by monitoring policy report outcomes and driving remediation with site/network owners; demonstrate fixes using NCM remediation workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands‑on expertise with SolarWinds NCM (rules, policies, policy reports, remediation scripts; advanced config search and regex).
  • Proven experience building and validating network hardening content for Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE (e.g., golden configs, device templates, rules for legacy and current versions).
  • Working knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and/or DISA STIG and how to operationalize them via NCM compliance reports.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow tasking or equivalent ITSM workflows to manage indicators/changes and document evidence.
  • Familiarity with SNMP, device onboarding, and connectivity considerations to ensure accurate monitoring and compliance scans.
  • Experience planning/validating SolarWinds platform upgrades and coordinating access/permissions and server prerequisites.
  • Ability to drive vendor casework through to resolution with clear, written technical communication.
  • Strong documentation skills (standards, runbooks) and agile collaboration (e.g., Azure DevOps work items, acceptance criteria).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Depth in policy/report engineering for compliance frameworks and automation of remediation at scale within NCM.
  • Experience creating/maintaining device templates and alignment to evolving benchmarks across platform and device families.
  • Demonstrated ability to show remediation outcomes and drive closure using NCM’s violation and remediation workflows.
  • Exposure to SQL/Windows administration considerations relevant to SolarWinds deployments and upgrades (application/DB).
  • Knowledge of CIS policy artifacts and mapping of organizational controls to enforceable checks.
  • Scripting for network automation (e.g., PowerShell) to support compliance evidence generation, packaging, or validation.
