As an IT Project Manager at Carrefour, you will take ownership of one or more strategic projects, ensuring they deliver expected outcomes, benefits, and business value. You’ll guide your project teams through the entire project lifecycle — from idea and approval to execution and delivery — while maintaining strong alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.

You will act as the bridge between technical experts and business stakeholders, managing risks, resources, and communication to ensure seamless project delivery and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead one or more projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business expectations and defined outcomes.
• Oversee project planning, scope, budgeting, quality, and timelines.
• Manage changes to scope, priorities, or deliverables effectively.
• Coordinate testing phases and user acceptance activities with business stakeholders.
• Prepare and present progress reports and steering committee updates in line with PMO standards.
• Ensure compliance with Carrefour’s IT Governance standards and methodologies.

Risk & Budget Control

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Escalate issues proactively and drive them to resolution.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Team Management

• Build and lead balanced, high-performing project teams.
• Foster collaboration, professionalism, and client orientation within the team.
• Encourage diversity and create an inclusive working environment.
• Ensure clear internal communication and alignment with Carrefour’s strategic ambitions.

Operational Excellence

• Optimize internal processes and ensure adherence to existing procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation to enhance customer experience.
• Mobilize and optimize resources efficiently while ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Analysts, System Engineers, Developers, and business stakeholders.
• Act as an ambassador for Carrefour’s digital transformation, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT project or program management, ideally within the retail or technology industry.
• Proven experience with recognized project management methodologies (certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is a plus).
• Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems in a complex organization.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in Dutch or French (native level) and professional proficiency in English.
• Strong business acumen and a passion for driving results.
