Senior C/C++ Low Latency Engineer
Salary up to 150k + bonus
WFH: 3 days in office
Location: Amsterdam Area
My client is a fast-growing, tech-driven firm specializing in high-performance automated trading. The team is small but highly skilled, focused on optimizing low-latency systems and working with cutting-edge technology. With a strong emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and collaboration, the company provides a dynamic environment where engineers have real ownership and impact.
You'll have significant responsibility and freedom to innovate in a low-latency environment, working on high-performance C/C++ applications that power automated trading worldwide.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, test, and optimize large-scale parallel applications and databases.
- Implement low-latency networking code for fast exchange communication.
- Design efficient, minimal-footprint data storage structures.
- Work on high-performance trading logic with minimal compute time.
- Use advanced CPU features (SIMD) to optimize existing code.
- Contribute to hardware infrastructure, network design, and data logging pipelines.
What we’re looking for
- Strong expertise in C and C++ on Linux.
- Deep understanding of assembly, system calls, and x64 hardware.
- Experience with debugging, profiling, and optimizing code.
- Knowledge of efficient data storage structures and Big Data best practices.
- Ability to work independently and share knowledge within the team.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with low-latency networking hardware or protocol implementations.
- Background in Big Data engineering.
