About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our project delivery team and play a key role in an exciting fintech initiative focused on fraud detection and prevention.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll leverage your deep expertise in Golang and AWS to deliver robust, scalable, and secure backend services that meet enterprise-grade standards.

You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team where detailed requirements, solution design, and architecture have already been defined. The core focus of this position will be execution and delivery building scalable, high-quality services that strengthen fraud detection capabilities for a major enterprise client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Golang within a microservices architecture.
  • Deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable backend solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Manage and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure with strong DevOps practices.
  • Participate in architecture and code reviews, ensuring design integrity and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to solution delivery and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of backend systems supporting fraud detection use cases.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Golang, including microservices design and development.
  • Proven expertise in AWS managing and deploying applications using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise-scale, high-availability, performant backend systems.
  • Strong background in API development, system integration, and service orchestration.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Prior experience in large enterprise environments.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with GraphQL.
  • Exposure to React or full-stack development environments.
  • Domain experience in fraud detection, risk management, or fintech projects.
