Our Mobile team is a high performing team that is accountable for solving complex mobile engineering problems, with a core mission to lead the transition of the Zip Native iOS App to React Native. As a Senior Engineer, you will own the delivery of solutions, directly mentoring high performing engineers and ensuring the ongoing evolution and success of Zip’s customer experience is robust and seamless.
What You'll Own
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager and Designer (if applicable) in a triad to discover and validate technical problems.
- Develop, support, and provide technical guidance to the engineering squad to reduce complexity.
- Perform effective code reviews and lead the development of high-quality software used by our teams, merchants, and customers.
- Manage a backlog of features, bugs, and technical debt and effectively manage priority.
- Recommend and assist with architectural changes to improve performance and reliability.

- Extensive experience working with Swift, RxSwift, and Swift UI.
- Experience working with React Native and Turbo Modules.
- Excellent understanding of the iOS application lifecycle and knowledge of SnapKit.
- Solid knowledge of modern architecture patterns like MVVM and Clean architecture.
- Ability to coach and bring the best out of others, with a focus on operational maturity and effective delivery.
- A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
